How to price raffle tickets so people actually buy them 🎟️
In this video, Catie from RallyUp walks you through a repeatable formula for pricing Raffle entries — plus the price ranges to match each prize tier and the three mistakes that flatten ticket sales.
Most Raffle prices get set by instinct, which is why so many campaigns either leave money on the table or stall out. Pricing backwards from your goal, rounding to a clean number, and matching the price to the prize gives you a defensible number before you ever announce the Raffle.
What you’ll learn:
The formula: (goal + expenses) ÷ the number of entries you can realistically sell
Round to clean numbers — $5, $10, $25. Odd prices like $7 or $12.50 slow people down
Match the price to the prize: $1–$5 for prizes under $500, $10–$25 for prizes between $500 and $2,500, and $25–$100 for big-ticket prizes like trips
Add bundles — 1 for $5, 3 for $10, 10 for $25. Bundles raise your average sale, not just your price
Avoid the big three: pricing too cheap to hit your goal, pricing too high for your crowd, and skipping bundles entirely
Check your state’s current rules on online ticket sales before you set your price
