How-to: Archive a Completed or Cancelled Campaign

Hide your completed or canceled Campaigns from your account and the public by archiving them.

If you run many Campaigns on RallyUp, the Campaign list in your account can get rather long and make it difficult to find your current Campaign. Archiving old Campaigns can clean up the list and make your current Campaigns easy to find.

How do I archive a Campaign?

  1. Go to Account Navigation in the left menu and select Campaigns.
  2. Hover your mouse over the Campaign you want to archive and click on the three-dot icon.
  3. Select Archive:

Archiving a Campaign will remove it from your list and remove its presence on the web.

Note: Unlike deleting a Campaign, archiving isn’t restricted to the Campaign creator — any team member who can administer the Campaign can archive it.

What else should I know about archiving Campaigns?

  • All of the data associated with an archived Campaign will stay intact, so you can still access it anytime by simply un-archiving the Campaign.
  • You can archive a Campaign once its status is Ended. If your Campaign shows as “Ended” but you don’t see the Archive option, it usually means the Campaign still needs a status-related action (such as finalizing results) before it’s eligible to archive.
  • Any team member who can administer the Campaign can archive it.
  • You can un-archive a Campaign anytime by clicking the Show archived Campaigns checkbox at the bottom of the page:
  • Select Unarchive from the three-dot icon.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I archive old Campaigns?

Archiving old Campaigns helps clean up your Campaign list, making it easier to find and manage your current active fundraisers. This is especially helpful if you run multiple Campaigns throughout the year.

What happens when I archive a Campaign?

Archiving removes the Campaign from your list and removes its presence on the web, so it’s no longer publicly accessible. However, all data associated with the Campaign stays intact and can be accessed by un-archiving it.

Can I archive a Campaign that’s still live?

No, you can only archive “Ended” Campaigns through your account. If you need to archive a live Campaign, contact RallyUp customer support and they’ll archive it for you.

Can I recover an archived Campaign?

Yes, you can un-archive a Campaign anytime by clicking the “Show archived Campaigns” checkbox at the bottom of your Campaigns page. All your archived Campaign data remains intact and accessible.

Will archiving a Campaign delete my donor data?

No, archiving does not delete any data. All donor information, transaction records, and Campaign details remain safely stored in your account and can be accessed whenever you un-archive the Campaign.

Why can’t I archive my Campaign even though it shows as “Ended”?

If your Ended Campaign isn’t yet archivable, there’s likely a remaining action needed on it first. Contact customer support if you’re not sure what’s outstanding.
