Learn who owns the donor data collected through your RallyUp Campaigns, how to access it, and how RallyUp protects it from unauthorized sharing.
When your supporters give through RallyUp, every record created — donor names, contact details, gift amounts, and registration information — belongs to your organization. RallyUp is the platform that helps you collect and manage that data, but ownership remains with you at all times. This article explains your data rights, how to access your constituent records, and what RallyUp does and does not do with the information collected on your behalf.
Who owns the donor data collected through my Campaigns?
Your organization owns all donor data collected through your RallyUp Campaigns. This includes donor names, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, giving history, and any other information donors submit during checkout or event registration. RallyUp acts as the platform that helps you collect and manage this data — ownership stays with your organization at all times, and that does not change if you close your account.
How do I access my donor data?
You can view and export your donor data at any time from your RallyUp account. There are no time limits or access restrictions on the records your organization has collected.
To export donor data from a Campaign, see Understand: RallyUp Reports.
To export donor data across all Campaigns, see Understand: Organization-Level Reports and Understand: Donor Profiles.
Does RallyUp share my donor data with anyone?
No. RallyUp does not sell, share, or transfer your donor data to third parties. Your donor information is used only to operate the platform on your behalf — for example, to process transactions and send donation receipts. Your donor relationships belong to your organization.
Payment processing is handled by third-party processors (Stripe or PayPal), which operate according to their own privacy policies. Donors who complete a transaction interact with these processors directly at checkout, not through RallyUp.
What information does RallyUp collect from my donors?
RallyUp collects the information that donors and registrants submit through your Campaign Pages. This typically includes contact details such as name and email address, gift amounts, and responses to any custom fields you configure in your
Campaign Setup. This data is stored securely and is accessible only to authorized members of your organization.

What happens to my data if I close my RallyUp account?
Your data remains accessible in your account until you formally request account closure. If you decide to close your account, contact RallyUp Support to request a full data export before your records are removed. We recommend exporting your donor data regularly — especially after major Campaigns — so your organization always has an independent copy on file regardless of platform availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does RallyUp use my donor data for its own marketing?
No. RallyUp does not use your organization’s donor data for its own marketing or outreach. Donor records collected through your Campaigns are yours, and RallyUp will not contact your donors independently.
Can multiple people at my organization access the donor data?
Yes. You can add team members to your RallyUp account, and their level of access to donor data is determined by the role you assign them. Organization Administrators have full access to all records; other roles may have more limited access depending on your account permissions.
Is my donor data backed up if something goes wrong?
Yes. RallyUp maintains secure backups of platform data. However, we recommend exporting your donor records regularly so your organization always has an independent copy, regardless of platform availability.
Who do I contact if I have a data privacy question or concern?
If you have questions about how RallyUp handles your data, contact RallyUp Support or review the RallyUp Privacy Policy for complete details.
