Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I want to hide the Donor Feed?
Some organizations prefer to keep donor lists private to protect donor privacy, respect anonymity preferences, or maintain a cleaner Campaign Page design. Hiding the Donor Feed removes public visibility of donations and comments while still allowing you to track them internally.
Can I hide the Donor Feed after my Campaign has started?
Yes, you can hide or show the Donor Feed at any time, even if your Campaign is already live. Changes take effect immediately and apply to all visitors viewing your Campaign Page.
Will hiding the Donor Feed affect donor comments?
Yes, when you hide the Donor Feed, both the list of donors/donations and any donor comments will be hidden from public view on your Campaign Page. Donors can still leave comments during checkout, but they won’t be visible to other visitors.
Does the Donor Feed show donation amounts?
Yes, by default the Donor Feed displays donor names, donation amounts, and any comments they’ve left. This public display can encourage giving by showing community support, but some organizations prefer to keep this information private.
Can individual donors choose to be anonymous without hiding the entire feed?
Yes, donors can choose to remain anonymous during checkout. When a donor selects the anonymous option, their name won’t appear in the Donor Feed, but their donation amount and comment (if provided) may still be visible. Hiding the entire feed is a separate organization-level setting.
