In 2021, while treating the COVID-19 patients in their community, MCH swapped out their traditional annual in-person fundraiser for a 1st Annual Sweepstakes. Using RallyUp’s intuitive fundraising platform, the Sweepstakes brought in a remarkable $133,876 to help MCH provide critical care in uncertain times.

Considerations &
Constrains

A quality hospital is essential in a mountain community. That’s why, every year, MCH has hosted a fundraising gala with 300+ attendees. The proceeds go toward much-needed items like a 3D mammography machine, a bladder scanner, and surgical cameras.
After the pandemic made the annual in-person gala impossible, MCH explored virtual options, landing on an Annual Summer Sweepstakes. They were challenged with engaging donors as much as an in-person event and enticing new donors to take part. That’s when they decided to lean on RallyUp for help..

The Results

With RallyUp’s tools and streamlined functionality, the first Annual Summer Sweepstakes achieved a wider reach at a lower ticket price, enabling the hospital to raise $133,876 for lifesaving equipment and improvements.

The community enjoyed using RallyUp’s straightforward site to select prizes from local businesses and organizations–so much so that the Sweepstakes expanded the hospital’s donor base by 100% percent, attracting 200 new supporters.

In fact, the virtual fundraiser brought in the same funds MCH had raised at their in-person fundraiser–at half the cost and with much less work! That means the hospital has more resources and time to focus on delivering critical healthcare services to their mountain community.
