How-to: Reuse a Personalized Link from a Previous Campaign

Use the same custom link from a previous Campaign for future fundraisers.

Many RallyUp users run sequential Campaigns, whether it’s every year or on another recurring basis. To make it easy for previous donors to find and share your Campaign, you can reuse the same link from a previous Campaign (such as “go.rallyup.com/fundraisername”).

  1. Go to Campaigns in the left menu.
  2. Find the Campaign that contains the link you would like to use. Click on the Campaign title (list view) or Campaign image (grid view).
  3. Select Campaign Setup*.
  4. Go to Page Design in the timeline at the top.
  5. Scroll down to Optional settings and select Show optional settings.
  6. Scroll down to Personalize the link to your Campaign Page*:

  1. Delete the personalized section of the link and select Save. This will remove the personalized link from your old Campaign. (You might want to copy the information before deleting it.)
  2. Repeat steps 1-6 above with the new Campaign and type or paste in the personalized link.
  3. Select Save.

The old Campaign will be assigned a randomly generated URL. Information from this Campaign will still be accessible in your RallyUp account.

No, you won’t lose any data. The old Campaign will be assigned a randomly generated URL, but all information from that Campaign remains accessible in your RallyUp account, including donation records, reports, and donor information.

Reusing the same link makes it easier for previous donors to find your new Campaign and helps maintain brand consistency. Donors who bookmarked your link or have it saved can simply visit the same URL to support your latest fundraiser.

Yes, but when you remove the personalized link from the active Campaign to use it elsewhere, that Campaign will immediately be assigned a new randomly generated URL. Make sure you’re ready to switch before making the change.

A personalized link customizes the path after “go.rallyup.com/” (like go.rallyup.com/yourname), while a custom domain replaces the entire URL with your own domain. Learn more about custom domains here: How-to: Customize Your Subdomain or Domain.
