Edit Peer-to-Peer donations so that the appropriate people are recognized for funds raised on their behalf.
If a donor credits their Peer-to-Peer donation to the wrong Participant* or Team*, or forgets to credit the donation at all, you can easily update their donation to ensure the correct Participant or Team is credited.
*Terminology may differ according to Campaign settings.
How do I change who receives credit for a Peer-to-Peer donation?
- Go to Account Navigation in the left menu and select Campaigns.
- If you have chosen a list view, click on the Campaign title. If you have chosen a grid view, click on the Campaign image.
- Select View Donations.
- Hover your mouse over the donation you would like to change and select the three-dot menu on the right.
- Select Edit Donation, then select Edit:
- Type in the name of the Participant or Team.
- Select Save.

You may need to change donation credit when a donor accidentally credits their Peer-to-Peer donation to the wrong Participant or Team, forgets to credit anyone, or realizes they wanted to support a different person after completing their donation.
Can I credit a donation to multiple Participants or Teams?
No, each donation can only be credited to one Participant or one Team at a time. If a donor wants to support multiple people, they would need to make separate donations for each Participant or Team.
Will the Participant or Team be notified when I update donation credit?
The system updates the credit attribution in real-time, and it will appear in the Participant’s or Team’s fundraising totals. However, they may not receive an automatic notification about the change, so you may want to inform them directly.
Can donors change who they credited for their donation themselves?
Donors typically cannot change donation credit after completing their transaction. They would need to contact you as the Campaign organizer to make this change on their behalf.
Does changing donation credit affect the donor’s receipt?
Changing who receives credit for a donation updates the attribution but does not affect the donor’s tax receipt or payment information. The donation amount and donor information remain the same.
