What are general donations and why should I enable them?
Campaigns such as Raffles, Sweepstakes, and Auctions allow people to receive items in exchange for their donations. There may be times when a supporter is not eligible to participate or prefers to simply donate to the cause without receiving anything in return. You can allow this by enabling general donations.
How do I enable general donations on my Campaign?
- Go to Campaigns in the left menu.
- If you have chosen a list view, click on the Campaign title. If you have chosen a grid view, click on the Campaign image.
- Select Campaign Setup*.
- Go to Basics in the timeline at the top.
- Scroll down to Select any optional features you’d like to add and click on the toggle next to General donations:
- Select Save.
How do donors see the general donation option?
Donors will see the option to give a general donation next to the other component button(s) at the top of the Campaign Page:
