Find out if you’re eligible to fundraise on RallyUp, including what types of organizations, individuals, and businesses can use the platform.

RallyUp is a fundraising platform designed for charitable causes. Whether you’re a nonprofit organization, an individual who wants to support a charity, or a for-profit business looking to give back through corporate giving, RallyUp provides the tools you need to run successful fundraising Campaigns. Here’s how to determine which type of account is right for you.

What types of fundraisers does RallyUp support?

RallyUp supports four main customer types, each with a specific fundraising purpose:

Organizations

Groups and organizations fundraising for their own charitable causes. This includes:

  • Registered 501(c) charities
  • Not-for-profit groups and organizations
  • Registered charities
  • Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
  • Schools
  • Religious organizations
  • Community groups, such as youth sports programs, PTOs, etc.

Organizations do not need to be a registered 501(c) organization to use RallyUp. Any group fundraising for charitable purposes is eligible.

Advocates (Individuals)

An Advocate is an individual who fundraises on behalf of a charity organization without being directly affiliated as an employee or registered volunteer. You can fundraise for a registered US 501(c) organization or for a non-US or non-501(c) charity organization. For example, someone running a birthday fundraiser for their favorite charity is an Advocate.
