Understand: Using RallyUp as a Non-US Organization

Learn how to customize your account if your organization is located outside of the US.

RallyUp offers multiple customization options to support organizations that operate outside of the US, so you can fundraise in the currency that works best for you and accept donations from supporters worldwide.


How do I set up my primary currency for fundraising?

If your organization is based outside of the US, you can set your primary currency to any of 15 major currencies. This means that your fundraiser will display the fundraising progress bar, prices, checkout cart, and receipts in the currency you choose. Your primary currency will also be used to collect funds, although donors can still donate in many different currencies. Can I accept donations in multiple currencies?

No matter how you set up your primary currency or direct deposit bank accounts, you can always accept donations in many currencies. The exact list of available currencies depends on which payment processor you set up: Understand: PayPal vs. Stripe. PayPal and Stripe both accept 135+ currencies.

What currencies can I use for my RallyUp fundraisers?

RallyUp supports 15 major currencies as your primary currency. You can set your primary currency to display fundraising progress, prices, checkout cart, and receipts in the currency you choose, while still accepting donations in many other currencies.

Can I run different Campaigns in different currencies?

Yes, you can change the primary currency for each individual Campaign and run different Campaigns under different currencies. This flexibility allows you to customize fundraising for different regional audiences or donor bases.

To change the primary currency for an individual Campaign, go to Campaign Setup, select Checkout in the timeline at the top of the page, go to Choose the primary campaign currency and select your preferred currency from the dropdown menu.

You are responsible for verifying compliance with local laws and regulations for all fundraising Components. Some countries may not permit certain Components like Raffles or Sweepstakes. Learn more in our guide on legal regulations concerning Raffles.

Does my payment processor affect which currencies I can accept?

Yes, the exact list of available currencies depends on which payment processor you set up. Stripe and PayPal support different currency options. Compare your options in our guide on PayPal vs. Stripe.
