  • How does RallyUp work?

    RallyUp is an online fundraising platform designed specifically for organizations to create and run fundraising campaigns. With 8 different campaign types, each with dozens of options, we give you everything you need to unleash your fundraising potential. And you can personalize everything to match your organization’s website.

  • What campaign types does RallyUp offer?

    You can run any of the following 8 campaign types: Events, Pledges, Auctions, Raffles, Sweepstakes, Sales, Crowdfunding and Projects. In addition, your organization can use Donation Pages to collect standard contributions.

  • Who can use RallyUp?

    Any group or organization can raise funds on RallyUp. Individuals can also start campaigns, but the funds from those campaigns must benefit a group or organization.

  • Can my organization use RallyUp if we’re not located in the U.S.?

    Any campaign can accept international credit card donations using a Stripe account. But some countries don’t allow certain campaign types such as raffles, so you’ll need to check your local laws and regulations before running a campaign.

  • Can funds raised be given to an individual?

    Campaigns run on RallyUp are designed to benefit organizations. As a result, funds can’t be distributed to individuals.

  • Is RallyUp secure?

    We don’t want to brag, but RallyUp meets the highest level of payment and application security standards for the industry. All payment transactions are processed directly via Stripe and PayPal; payment information is never stored on our servers. In addition, the entire RallyUp system is constantly monitored for security threats and receives monthly vulnerability testing. Lastly, RallyUp does not release organization or donor information to any third-parties.

  • Can I try RallyUp before running a campaign?

    Absolutely YES! You can set up and preview your campaign without providing any personal information. Once you are ready to publish a campaign, you’ll need to link a credit card processor for it to go LIVE!

Campaign features

  • Can donors contribute anonymously?

    Yes, they have several options. They can choose to not display their name, display their name without the amount, or even choose to be completely anonymous to the campaign (if you enable that option).

  • Can I add more than one administrator to my campaigns?

    Yes, you can easily add as many adminstrators as you like at no additional cost. These users will have administrative privileges on the campaigns they’re added to.

  • Will you review my campaign before it goes live?

    Yes. Every campaign is reviewed by one of our campaign specialists after you submit it. We'll let you know if any changes need to be made before your campaign goes live!

  • How will I know if someone donated?

    You can always see a complete list of every donor and donations in account management, and you can also choose to have the system send you an email each time a contribution is made.

  • Can I create an extended or multi-year campaign?

    Yes, your campaign can last as long as you like. However, RallyUp recommends setting an end date for your campaign to keep momentum going with your supporters.

Campaign funding

  • What payment types can be accepted on your campaigns?

    You can choose to accept donations by credit card, PayPal and checks. Credit card payments are processed using Stripe.

  • Do I need my own credit card merchant account?

    If you have Stripe or PayPal accounts, you can simply link those to your organization in RallyUp. Once linked, all funds will be deposited directly into your bank account. If not, we make it easy to create those accunts when setting up your campaign. If you need to use our built-in merchant account, you can indicate that in campaign setup as well.

  • How do I receive the funds my organization raises?

    Funds will be directly deposited to your bank account if you use your own Stripe or PayPal account. If your organization uses RallyUp’s built-in merchant account (requires approval), then you can request a funds disbursement whenever you choose.

  • How long does it take to receive funds?

    If you’re using your own Stripe or PayPal account, funds are typically transferred to your account within 1 to 4 days from when they were collected. If you use RallyUp’s payment processing, funds reach you in 3 to 5 days after you request them.

  • Can I keep any funds raised if I don’t reach my goal?

    Definitely! Unlike some fundraising sites, we don’t force you to reach your goal to keep your funds. You can choose to set up an all-or-nothing campaign that is goal-dependent, but that’s not our fundraising standard.

  • Are donations made on RallyUp tax-deductible?

    RallyUp provides all of the functionality needed to support tax-deductible donations, but whether donations to any specific campaign are deductible or not will depend on the advice of your legal counsel.

RallyUp pricing

  • Can I have supporters pay the processing fees?

    Certainly. You have the option of adding the processing fee to each donation, or asking each supporter if they’d like to help by paying the fee.

  • Do you offer discounts for nonprofits?

    RallyUp works exclusively with nonprofit and other charitable organizations. Our pricing is already among the lowest in the industry. See our pricing page for details.

  • Are there any hidden fees with RallyUp?

    Nope. We mean it when we say “no hidden fees” on our pricing page. RallyUp does not have any hidden charges.
